The Role of Mother of the Bride

 
  • Meet with Groom's parents and your spouse to discuss the wedding budget and number of guests invited. It's best if this is not your first meeting.
  • Provides couple with requested guests list. Be sure to stay within the number of guests to ask. Help the Bride by giving full names, addresses and postal codes.
  • Helps with wedding plans and wedding budget as asked.
  • Attends all parties for the Bride.
  • Attends to the wedding rehearsal.
  • Give special wedding gift to couple from you and your spouse.
  • May host a shower for the Bride for the Bride's family.
  • My be required to stand in receiving line.
  • Help with introductions throughout wedding day.
  • After Mother of the Bride has bought her dress for the wedding, buy a complimenting dress for the wedding. Attend all fittings.
  • Has pictures taken with wedding couple.
  • Help the Bride and Groom whenever asked.Be open and flexible with suggestions.
  • Dance with your new son-in-law at the wedding reception.
  • Brings along the Anti-Panic Wedding 911 Bag.
  • Help with set-up and decorating if needed.
  • Help with clean up after the wedding reception if needed.
  • Enjoy the day and its process.
  • Ensures that Bride's gown is cleaned and preserved properly while she is on her honeymoon.
