Role of the Best Man / Man of Honour

May hold the Bride's ring until the ring exchange at the wedding ceremony
if needed.
Escort the Maid
of Honour throughout the ceremony and wedding day as needed. Dances
with her at the wedding reception during the song for the wedding party.
Signs the marriage licence as a witness.
May
need to drive Bride, Groom and Maid of Honour to reception.
Makes
a toast to the Bride and Groom at the reception.
May do other introductions at the reception if needed.
Helps with transporting
the wedding gifts from reception if needed.
Has pictures taken
with the wedding party.
May be required
to stand in receiving line.
Sits at head table
at the wedding reception.
Assist guests if
needed.
Makes sure the
Groom's going away clothes and bag for honeymoon are brought to place
of reception.
Help with set-up
and decorating if needed.
Help
with clean up after the wedding reception if needed.
Helps Bride and
Groom wherever needed before during and after wedding day.
